Bugün 8 Mart Dünya Kadınlar Günü! Yalnızca kadınların öne çıkarıldığı bir gün olarak değil, aynı zamanda toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğini konuşmak için bir fırsat olarak görüyoruz. Oyuncaklar sadece birer eşya değil, çocuklarımızın dünyasını şekillendiren araçlardır. Ancak ne yazık ki, toplumsal cinsiyet stereotipleri, çocuklarımızın oyunlarını ve hayal dünyalarını dar bir kutuya sıkıştırıyor. Kızlar bebeklerle oynamalı, erkekler ise arabalarla… Peki ya bu stereotipler, gerçekten kimseye yardımcı oluyor mu? Bizce hayır. Her çocuğun kendini özgürce ifade edebilmesi ve ilgi alanlarına göre oyuncak seçebilmesi önemli. Oyuncakların cinsiyeti olmadığını ve her çocuğun istediği gibi oyun oynamasının en temel hakkı olduğunu savunuyoruz.  Bunun için Toyi olarak, cinsiyet ayrımcılığına dayalı oyuncak seçimine karşı; tüm çocuklar için  cinsiyet rollerinden bağımsız ve açık uçlu oyun deneyimi sunuyoruz. We take this day not only as a celebration of women but also as an opportunity to discuss gender equality. Toys are not just objects; they are tools that shape our children's worlds. Unfortunately, gender stereotypes confine our children's play and imaginations into narrow boxes. Girls should play with dolls, and boys with cars… But do these stereotypes really help anyone? We don't think so. It's important for every child to express themselves freely and choose toys based on their interests. Toys are gender-neutral, and every child should be able to play however they want. At Toyi, we offer our children a gender-neutral and open-ended play experience, rejecting toy choices based on gender discrimination. Şubat ayı bizim için oldukça hareketli geçiyor. Unutulmaz anlardan birkaçını paylaşmak istiyoruz. 🌎 Ara tatil döneminde tam 5 gün boyunca çocuklarla birlikte Oyunbaz ve Sürdürülebilir bir dünya hayali kurduk! Türk Telekom katkılarıyla Atatürk Kültür Merkezi’nde gerçekleştirdiğimiz çocuk oyun atölyelerinde 4-8 yaş grubundaki oyun uzmanlarıyla tanıştık. “Oyunbaz ve Sürdürülebilir bir dünyada nasıl canlılar yaşar? Hangi araçlar olur?” gibi ilham veren sorularla başladığımız atölyelerde birbirinden yaratıcı karakter ve oyuncaklar ortaya çıktı! Oyuncakların hikayesi anlattığımız kapanış bölümünde çocuklar sürdürülebilir bir geleceğe dair umut dolu fikirlerini paylaştılar ve hepimize ilham oldular. ✨ Gelecek atölyelerde oyun uzmanlarıyla tekrar buluşmak için sabırsızlanıyoruz! 🎈 // We'd like to share a few unforgettable moments. 🌎 During the mid-term break, we spent a full 5 days imagining a Playful and Sustainable world with children! With the support of Türk Telekom, we organized children's play workshops at the Atatürk Cultural Center, where we met with play experts aged 4-8. Starting with inspiring questions like "How would creatures live in a playful and sustainable world? What kind of tools would there be?" in these workshops, incredibly creative characters and toys emerged! Geçtiğimiz sene depremin yıkıcı etkileriyle başa çıkmak zorunda kalan topluluklar için uzun ve zorlu bir süreçti. Kriz ve afet sonrası durumlardan en çok etkilenen gruplardan biri de maalesef çocuklar oluyor. Bu bilinçle, çocuklarla birlikte oyun oynayarak travma sonrası iyileşme sürecine destek oluyoruz. İlk günden itibaren gündemde tutmaya gayret ettiğimiz çocuk oyun hakkını desteklemek amacıyla yeniden deprem bölgesindeydik ve Adıyaman’daki Eczacıbaşı-TEV İlkokulu öğrencileriyle oyunun gücünü paylaştık! Oyun, çocukların yaşadıkları zorluklarla başa çıkma ve dayanıklılıklarını artırma yolunda önemli bir araç. Toyi olarak çocukların oyun aracılığıyla güçlenmesini ve iyileşmesini desteklemeye devam edeceğiz 🎈 // Last year was a challenging and arduous period for groups dealing with the devastating effects of the earthquake. Unfortunately, one of the most affected groups in post-crisis situations tends to be children. With this awareness, we are supporting the post-trauma healing process by playing together with children. We have been striving to advocate for children's right to play, which led us back to the earthquake-affected areas where we shared the power of play with students from the Eczacıbaşı-TEV Primary School in Adıyaman. Play is a significant tool for children to cope with challenges and enhance their resilience. As Toyi, we will continue to support children in strengthening and healing through play. 🎈

Attended Sharon's speech at the world's largest toy fair, Spielwarenmesse. Just like she said: “We don't need any new toys :)” It's a bold statement, unfortunately, it's true. Like many other industries, we're producing and consuming way more than necessary in the toy industry. Sharon Keilthy, an Eco-Toy Activist and Co-founder at Sustainable Toys Action Consulting (STAC), is a great inspiration for us with her efforts to make the toy industry more sustainable. Today, in the Toys Go Green area, we discussed what needs to be done to leave a better world for children. Every choice we make affects the future of our children, and we take this seriously. That's why Toyi pieces are produced from recycled plastics to protect nature. Using recycled plastic is beneficial because it recycles existing waste without the need for new resources, contributing to nature conservation. Thanks to our eco-friendly creative play kits, children don't need to buy new toys as they can create unlimited possibilities with a Toyi kit and their imagination!
